Principal's message
Welcome to E.H. Phillips!
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all of you as we embark on another exciting academic year at E.H. Phillips. I am entering my 18th year in education and sixth year as the Principal of E.H. Phillips Elementary. I have taught Special Education (Life Skills Classroom, K-2nd grade), 1st Grade and I was an Assistant Principal at Central Dauphin Middle School for one year. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from Millersville University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University.
Outside of E.H. Phillips, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, watching football (Go Steelers!), watching hockey (Go Penguins!), and attending my children's sporting events.
I am deeply committed to maintaining the high standards of excellence that have come to define our school. Throughout my tenure, I have witnessed the incredible growth and achievements of our students, and I am proud to be a part of their educational journey. At E.H. Phillips, we believe in providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. Our dedicated team of educators are passionate about fostering a love for learning and encouraging critical thinking. We embrace innovation and strive to prepare our students for the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.
I am committed to fostering strong partnerships with parents and the wider community. We believe that education is a collaborative effort, and we value the support and involvement of our families in their children's education. Together, we can create a positive and enriching environment that nurtures the growth and success of every student.
I am truly excited about the upcoming year and the possibilities it holds.
Be on the lookout for on-going emails about upcoming events and things to work on at home. Some information will come home by paper, but ensuring you receive emails is the best way to stay connected and in the loop. If you are not receiving emails from me, please call the main office so we can assist you and get you set up.
Thank you,
Mrs. Bates
